Turquoise Villa, Ahmedabad

Turquoise Villa,
Center Point,
Panchvati,
C G Road
Ahmedabad

The ambiance at Turquoise Villa is quite laid back and relaxed. The Turquoise colored interiors are quite calming. We normally visit on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon post 2pm, so its never been very crowded.

Service is very slow and the time taken to serve a dish is inversely proportional to the alacrity with which the waiters want to clear your table (well before the next course is ready to be served)

They serve soups, salads, sandwiches (including brown bread versions), some tapas (appetisers), wraps, pizzas, pastas, parathas and main courses from around the world, apart from a huge range of drinks.

We have had the nachos (160/-), roast chicken with mash and mushy peas (340/-), sandwiches (120/- to 210/-), pizzas (350/- to 395-) and quite liked them all. The fish cakes and the ginger beer have been my only, not so good experiences so far, at TV. The fish cakes (220/-) had way too much potato and not enough fish in them. Their home made ginger beer (160/-) is their signature item, but not something that I liked.

Their pizzas have unusual combinations like tandoori chicken and pickle pizza and the chicken bolognaise pizza. The fusion extends to the pastas too like khandvi ni ravioli in curry sauce and kheema ghotala pasta

The desserts have also been quite good. We have had the pudding (160/-), cheesecake (160/-) and apple cinnamon tart (110/) The panacotta with berry sauce (160/-) is extremely light and mildly flavoured, but one of my husbands favourites.
